Despite all the governmental and parastatal checks and balances in place to ensure the equitable representation of consumer services, and fair delivery, we pride ourselves on our transparency. Here are some of the important role players that keep an eye on the smooth functioning of our industry:

We also cooperate closely with the Consumer Affairs Directorate of the Department of Trade and Industry and the various regulatory bodies in the banking and financial services industries such as the Banking Ombudsman, Financial Services Board and the Payments Association of South Africa.

Direct Marketing Association of South Africa

The Direct Marketing Association of South Africa (DMASA) aims to protect both the industry and consumers, and lobby against adverse legislation from government and other regulatory bodies. Key to the DMA’s activities going, will be the promotion and expansion of direct marketing within the country.

The DMASA has secured seven founder members which include some of the biggest names in the Direct Marketing industry in South Africa. Platinum eProducts is proud to be associated with the DMASA and on being one of their select few Founding Members.

Direct Selling

At Platinum, we adhere to the “opt-out” principles of the South African Direct Marketing Association - the watchdog for consumer interests. We assume the responsibility never to sell or distribute our clients’ details to third party companies. New clients are also covered with a 40 day money-back guarantee. After 40 days, and only thereafter, should the client require terminating their service with Platinum, they may do so by submitting a cancellation request either telephonically, or via fax or email.

Client Relationship Management

Platinum eProducts successfully undertakes the ongoing and extremely challenging task of rendering lifestyle-enhancing products to consumers who have traditionally been victims of socio-economic discrimination or who have been denied access to products and services.

We procure literally thousands of new clients per month in a relatively unsophisticated market. As can be expected, Platinum eProducts needed a mechanism for successfully resolving a fair number of client queries on a regular basis.

To this end, we operate an efficient Client Care department, with duly qualified staff, who offer services in all official 11 South African languages, to resolve all client queries effectively, from Monday to Friday (8am to 7pm) and Saturdays (8am to 1pm, utilizing the latest technologies.
